Did you know that ExpressMarine can import a surface model from another software?
In ExpressMarine there is a node in the ExpressMarine tree that is called User_Imported_Surfaces. In this node you will find an import tool that help you import files from another software. e.g. IGES files.
Go to the User_Imported_Surfaces
Decide if you would like to replace existing surfaces or if all surfaces on the same layer should be joined.
Define naming rules
Remove thickness from the model you are imported if it has a thickness already.
Import the surface.
When you create geometry for an object e.g. a deck, you can select Modelling method to be Pick Rhino Object and click the associated button.
